Green Corns was established in 2000. Since then, we have worked with more than 230 young people. Our head office is in Rochdale, Lancashire, but we operate across the UK. We employ 275 staff (including part-time workers) and are Investor in People accredited.
We have a range of services provided by our psychologists; if required by the social worker, this can begin with an initial psychological assessment. This helps us to identify needs and develop an individually bespoke Care Plan.
All Young People on admission to Green Corns receive a 28 day assessment, which is overseen by a qualified clinician. A range of interventions are available, based on the ‘resilience model’. Each Young Person’s assessment will indicate specific behaviours and responses, developed accordingly. The effectiveness of the intervention is then monitored and measured to ensure and outcome based framework.
The ‘Team around the Child’ approach remains the primary goal, ensuring that all our Young People receive unique, dynamic and effective programs of care. A range of clinician’s are available to support the care planning and delivery including:
- Clinical Psychologist
- Forensic Psychologist
- Psychiatrist
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapist
- Other specialist therapist’s (Art, Drama, etc.)
